Tulip Festival

I've been wanting to go to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point ever since we got the $2 off coupon in the mail a few weeks ago. I had been waiting and waiting for the tulips around here to really start blooming, because when we went last year i think we went a little too early and not many had bloomed yet. We picked a great day to go!  it wasn't too hot or busy and we were able to walk around and enjoy the flowers. 

I took quite a few pictures, not all of them turned out to be amazing, but some of them I am rather proud of! 

so here they are......in no particular order =)

I'm not sure why yet... but for some reason my blog cuts off the pictures on the right side.... hmmm if anyone knows how to fix this problem i'd appreciate knowing.

Curtis saw this one and said "Look, its a cucumber flower" and i was able to correct him and say no... that one is called a hyacinth. 

And there you have it! thousands and thousands of tulips! i'd recommend that anyone who is thinking about going should definitely go!
