More Spring Flowers

I just can't get over how beautiful my flowers are! The tulips have all started to open up, and my hyacinths are in full bloom too.

I think spring is my new favorite season! The trees in our back yard are covered in blossoms and my little nectarine tree has a few flowers on it too. Every time I go outside I get so happy!

Spring!

Last fall my loving mother spent all afternoon freezing her bum off helping me plant hundreds of bulbs. I'm glad to say that all of the hard work we put in that day has finally paid off!

All of my daffodils are finally in full bloom. Every afternoon when I come home I get so happy to see so many beautiful flowers.

Don't look too closely.. you might see I have yet to take down my st. patricks day flag or that my christmas lights are still up... Don't judge, I don't own a ladder!

We also planted some out on the side of the house. The past few days have been too cold for some of the flowers to open up, but I was able to get a picture of one of them.

I've been wanting a fire pit for our backyard for a while. Curtis finally agreed and we went and bought one last weekend. That night we had ourselves a little weenie roast in our backyard. The dogs were a little weary about it at first, not quite sure what to. After a while they just laid down on the grass and watched the fire.

Here is Curtis, roasting a hot dog.

School is finally out. I am one month of student teaching and a teacher work sample away from graduation. I can't wait to start teaching! I'm a little nervous (but mostly excited) about teaching 6th grade, but I just keep telling myself, "you can do this em!" Guess I better start re-memorizing my times tables......

Easter Weekend

This last weekend was great! I was able to be completely unproductive and do no work at all (I'm paying for it now though..) We were able to spend time with both our families and have two yummy dinners. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Raclette (Easter Dinner) ... or what was left of it.

Spunky Cailyn

Crazy Dad... I think he was just waiting for his food to cook.

This week is the last week of classes at the zoo.... I'm so excited to finally be done and on to student teaching! For those of you who don't know, i'm a dual major which basically means someday i'll be certified to teach preschool and kindergarten as well as 1-8. Before I can do my internship in the elementary school I have to do student teaching in kindergarten. So this spring semester i'll be doing that, kind of my last hoo-rah before I move onto teaching.

I'm trying hard to stay motivated to finish out strong with my school work, but it's just so hard! Any words of advice (on how to keep chugging along) for this last week would be greatly appreciated!
