2. I got my sewing table! And after dad and curtis and kimball carried it up the stairs, i opened the box and was so happy that i didn't have to assemble it! (the store said i would). It's such a great table, it makes sewing that much more enjoyable.
And the best part is... i got it on sale!
It's got an electronic lift and lots of storage. what a great sewing table! i love it. ♥♥ ♥ ♥
3. I signed up for the block of the month club at deseret book with my mom, So far we've done the first block, it was an irish chain, i had a lot of fun putting the block together. The best part is, it was only $40 per kit and each month they give you enough fabric to make two blocks! My mom decided it was an amazing deal, (really it is... 2 quilt tops well all the blocks for it for $40!) and so she signed up for both, and i figured what the heck, i might as well do both too.
I did a lot better job on the brighter colored ones, i did them second so i knew what i was doing and they turned out nicer, but i think the first ones look pretty good too!
4. I've been reading a lot of books ... chapter books... for my children's literature class. This weekend my goal was to read the tale of despereaux. As i sat watching tv, not really wanting to go read i thought to myself... ill just go sew that will be much more exciting than reading. So i got in and then felt a little guilty that i was doing something fun instead of doing homework that needs to be done... so i downloaded the audio book off of itunes and listened to the entire book while i finished sewing my snowman quilt! Thanks to curtis for deciding on the pinwheel corners, i think they look really awesome! I should have finished this a LONG time ago, but im a bit of a slacker. anyway i think the quilt turned out really good. Now i just need to finish my turning 20......
AAAAAAND one thing i forgot to mention that i was really proud of doing, was i finished a very large puzzle! although i was sad because after i finished i was missing pieces... :( if anyone is a LOST fan this puzzle is really fun to look at. I've got all 4... someday when i have time again in my life i will do the other ones too! they are really hard to complete since there is no picture showing you what the puzzle looks like, and its a lot of small pictures.
