Charlie Bit Me!

I don't know if anyone has seen this, but i think its so funny! i first saw it in my language development class when we were learning about dialects and analects and accents and all that other fun stuff. anyway. the first movie is the original, the second "remix" is just something i found that when we watched it just started laughing really hard. The best part is when he screams "AHHHH!" and "Charlie, that really hurts."

And... How stinkin cute is his little accent?
EnJOY!

Happy Birthday Curtis!

Curtis' birthday was on the 10th of december. He was pleased with his haul for the day. I got him an apple TV but told him that he couldn't open it until it was his birthday, so it just sat in the closet to reduce any temptations for about a week.....

Here's the big box.

I had to go to school that day, so when i got home we went to dinner with curtis' family to his alltime favorite restaurant (he would eat there every day if he could) Los Hermanos.  He also got a receiver, which he is quite happy with and spent the rest of the night after dinner (4 or 5 hours) setting it up and getting everything hooked up and re-organized in our tv stand.

A Little Ketchup

What's better than Macaroni and cheese???

Mac and cheese with an OCTO DOG!!

We have this nifty little cutter thing that will make these cute little guys, and they are just so perfect on top of macaroni.

Second of all, i just want to talk about gas prices for one second. I know that these low low prices are a really bad sign that the economy is going down the crap hole, but honestly... i'm not going to complain! during the summer i was paying close to 70 bucks every week and a half to fill my car... now i can fill it all the way for about, if not less than, 25 dollars! now THAT's AMAzzzING!

Here's a picture i took when i was down in las vegas at the beginning of the summer.. i know prices got even worse down there later on in the summer, but geez! its crazy to think that we were all out there paying nearly 5 bucks for a gallon of gasoline! 5 dollars could buy so many better things, like candy... mmmm

Anyway, heres a picture i took the other day of the gas station down the road from us. Prices have since dropped even more (YIPEE!) maybe we'll even get back down to one dollar, but i doubt that.

Now, last of all some sad news. Curtis bought an iPhone (i wanna be like you-oo-oo) a week or so ago, and was eagerly awaiting it all day. This day the mail was going so slow for some reason. Well when it finally got here.. it was about 5:45 at night. And not only one mail truck pulled up, but two! and then a minute later a third mail truck came. Must have been something going on that day cause usually our mail comes around 11 AM. Well i thought it was pretty comical to see all these mail guys out there running so fast trying to get the mail put in so they could go on to the next set of complexes.. so i grabbed my camera and took a few pictures.

We went out and got the iphone but after all the work it didn't work... it had updated software and that's about all i can understand. we sent it back and the guy who sold it to us is going to send one that hasn't been updated so hopefully that will work just as good as mine!
Here's some pictures of the opening excitement...

One last thing, our pups got groomed again, and i just think they are so dang cute afterwards, so i ALWAYS take pictures! This time lola got a little burn on her nose cause she was being pretty squirmy. Usually the groomer puts bows in their hair, but this time they got little christmas scarf things...

Aren't they precious?

Our toilet paper.

Our TP is in a very unusual spot! it is actually really annoying because to access it easily the door has to be open, and then the door knob is pretty much smacking you in the eyeball and nose while you're trying to do your business!!  anyway.. just one more reason why we want to move!

A wedding and a funeral

This weekend was quite busy for us, and we didn't even hardly get any time to ourselves to do what we wanted to do. Neither one of us have school on fridays, so usually we go see a movie, clean the house, or do something with our time.  But this week on friday my friend Sarah was getting married, and i was a bridesmaid so that sucked up all our time for friday.
It was a nice wedding, she got married in the churches relief society room, then had the reception at the church.  It was nice, but i am glad that its over and done with.

Saturday morning we woke up and drove to spanish fork for the day. Curtis' great grandma died on tuesday morning so we spent all day at her viewing/funeral thing. I thought that i was going to be okay going, afterall, i had never met her. While death is always sad and nothing to be happy about, i didnt think that i'd be bothered at all while we were there. I was doing okay, we even went in and saw her body, but when i saw her husband come in, i fell apart.  I could see how awful he felt, to have his wife of over 50 years taken from him so suddenly, and it was hard for me to hold my tears back as i thought of my own life and what would happen to me if someone i loved dearly was gone.

Anyway, to get to the moral...
both the wedding and the funeral made me so grateful for eternal families, and just having the gospel in my life and knowing that we can be together forever,  made me feel so happy. As i saw one of my best friends get married, i was so happy for her, but at the same time so sad, as she said "i do"  and promised for life only.  It made me think of my own wedding day, and how tears filled everyones eyes in the room as we promised forever, and how safe that makes me feel. I don't have to worry about anyone being taken suddenly and never being able to be with them again, because i know that if that happens, it will only be a short time until we are together again.

HOORAY for the blessings of the temple, HOORAY for eternity!!

Hello Blogging World!

Well I finally decided to jump onto the bandwagon and create a blog for us!  After brad telling me (quite a few months ago) that I should make a blog so I could show everyone our house and other random things. . anyway.  I'm Emilie and he's Curtis, we're both Jones.  We got married December 21 2007, and are just trying to live life as students.
I just got accepted into the Elementary Education program at BYU (YES!!) and so i only have 3 more semesters left until i can start my teaching internship. Curtis just decided that he wants to be a nurse of some sort, and is working towards that.

We live in a little condo in north orem, for now. Here are some pictures of our lovely abode.

And i can't forget to mention we have two little doggies. A Poo-Shih-Poo and a Malti-poo. one is black, and one is white. Most people call them salt and pepper... but we call them lola and shasta. For now, they are our babies.
